…and thus ends our first year at 23min of Ska. I certainly hope that you’ve enjoyed listening to it this year. It started out a small dream, a dream that’s grown over the year, and I hope to grow more next year! It has been a great ride, see you all on January 23rd!
If you’re in a ska band and would like to be featured or if you know some music that you think I should hear for future inclusion, please email me at radjose[at]gmail[dot]com! I’ll play most anything.

Great song, cool video, and I can’t get enough of either. It reminds of the warmer times of the year I just can’t get enough of, and that I look forward to when stuck in my freezing office during the colder months of the year. I know it is no longer morning in a lot of places, but it still is where I’m sitting dammit! So relax and enjoy, even if it is closer to lunchtime than the start of your day.
When I was putting together the last episode and including a song from Do It With Malice’s new album, I realized that I’ve hardly included any music from the year 2010 on a regular basis for the podcast! This episode it meant to correct that mistake by hitting you, over and over again with fresh 2010 ska & ska/punk! Of course, being out of touch I had to do some research and I found some really good new bands that put out some fresh awesome music, as well and remembering that there’s some classic bands that are still at it putting out quality albums. Really, I own 2 of these records, bought them when they came out and I still managed to forget that they came out this year! For 2011 I vow to no longer be an idiot while putting this podcast together!
Special note: This very day my fiance and I are planning our wedding 2,000 miles away from where we live, so if there’s a problem, e-mail me, I’ll try to fix it as soon as I can!

Woah, I got to see the very awesome Something for Rockets reunion show last night at the Mint in Los Angeles. I loved it oh so much! They were the first new band I discovered out here when I moved, and not only that, I discovered them w/ my girlfriend, now fiance, Allison. They hold a special place in my heart and our relationship. They’re fantastic, and I’m super glad Allison was on the ball to catch that this was happening!
