23min of Ska : Chocolate

23skaCHOCOICECREAMHere we all listeners, at the end of another set of 23 episodes! That’s right, this is the last scoop of ice cream. These last 23 weeks have had some real ups and downs, but I think we all found a ton of great music along the way despite any other troubles in the world. I know I certainly found a bunch of stuff to groove and jump up and down to! But I’m seeing lists of the top ska albums of 2017 coming out and I’m seeing there’s a whole bunch more I missed! Could there be too much ska out there? …nah!

23min of Ska : Rocky Road

23skaROCKYROADNever be too afraid to pause your life, for just a bit. Things happen, out of your control, and you need to take a pit-stop. You can’t do this too often, or even make a habit out of it, for if you do, you’ll lose you motivation to press on. We should always be making forward progress, but a short break from it is never a bad thing. Keep dancing, keep exploring and keep being awesome.

23min of Ska : Holes

Some of these songs I’ve been trying to fit in for awhile. Some for months, some for weeks, some I just found and was wondering when I’d use them. And then there’s the last song on this episode, I’ve been wanting to use it for years, but it was usually just too short or too long to work, so I’m pretty happy I got it in! Sometimes things just fit together in unexpected ways. It’s best to flow with the chaos, as it can surprise you if you let it.

23min of Ska : Mandarin’s Jade

23skaaxeI debated if I should write out any kind of description at all for this episode. I almost didn’t finish it. I’ve been battling a headache all day, and of course headphones and music doesn’t suit that. It was also tough because due to the headache I kept wanting to go more laid back, but in my heart I wanted to go more aggressive, so I think a balance was struck. The world needs music, I intend to keep trying to bring some to you all.
