This episode is brought to you by trying to stay awake! I kept replacing the tracks on this, and as I did, they kept getting faster, and louder, leading me to adding even faster and louder tracks to match, and it was getting later and later, so faster and louder music became all that was keeping me up, and keeping me going… so yeah, it’s one of those kinds of episodes!

Oh man, I think I could do 2 or 3 episodes based on the “Inferno” story line, and as I type, I’m only about 2/3rds of the way through re-reading it! I am seriously enjoying getting back to the comics of my youth and using it to inform these episodes of the show. I know, it’s a bit of an odd thought experiment for me, but I hope you all are still enjoying the ripping good ska that is being presented!
Check it, I’m back, bringing you some rad as hell ska music! First we have 2 premier songs! Hells yeah! The great Canadian group Class Action is providing us with the second track today called “Let Me Ask You” and it is off their upcoming EP! Also there’s Bargain Bin Heroes with the fifth song in this episode “My Day” from their forthcoming EP, but they still need it crowd funded to fully release, so get on that, help those dudes out! Both are totally great bands who could use a bit of support from you guys, the ska community! Also, support all the other bands too, eh? Music like this doesn’t happen in a vacuum! If you hear a band for the first time on this show, let them know! If hear a track you love, head to the website at 23ska.com and click on the links to the tracks and the band’s facebook page! Get involved! This show is just a 23min gateway to hours of fantastic music!
Sometimes episodes take painstaking time to put together. Sometimes you try several different sets of songs and orders before it even starts to sound good. Sometimes episodes fit together like Lego bricks in an instant. This is one of the latter ones, and a good thing too, cuz it’s late! Here’s a bunch of great songs, hope you enjoy them!
Some of these songs have been kicking around in my head for inclusion for quite some time, I’m glad I finally am getting the chance to play them all for you! I hope this is another episode that you can listen to and enjoy, as I know for one that I really enjoy this episode.
Ah, this week I did the lazy thing, and instead of picking out a bunch of songs and them editing them together, I had the members over at /r/ska on reddit help me pick out the songs for this episode. I think it turned out totally rad! Not too mainstream, pretty modern w/ some older stuff… almost as if I would do something like this myself… if it wasn’t for my “give credit where credit’s due” ways, I’d just pretend this greatness was all done by me on my own! It really is that good of an episode!
What does it mean to be the King? I’ve heard that it is good. What it means to be a specific king, in this case King Django, it means that it time to release a brand new album in which he is backed by some amazing bands, so go check it out. For the rest of this episode I stuck with some of great bands that are also at the top of their craft to complement this opening track. I just heard of The scandals while putting this ep together and I have to say, I’m a fan! Demon Waffle mounted a successful Kickstarter last year to get us this album and I’m glad they pulled it off! I’ve been hearing about Soul Radics and the Heavy Beat for a while and got to check them out, I hope you are as impressed as I am. I stumbled across Class Action last year and was waiting for the perfect time to slip in a song from their most recent EP. Then to top it all off, a track from the Bosstones, I’m sure you can all agree on how great they are too!
