I’m gonna come clean on this one… it’s late, I’m tired, and I love this episode. OK, maybe it is sleep deprivation, but damn these are some fine fine ska tunes! I feel like I have so much more to say but, for real, sleep beckons. Luckily, I have this pick me up waiting for me, and all the rest of you rad listeners, to help get me started in the morning!

Is it time for a bold new direction for 23min of Ska? Maybe, or maybe not… I dunno. I think the show’s going pretty well as it is! As always, I hope you enjoy this episode, and if you have any ideas for me, hit up the facebook page or twitter (information below) and let me know. I love my listeners as much as I love ska, and we can all see how much I dig ska music!
This sure is a fun batch of songs! The first several songs are pretty straight forward in how they relate to the over all comic’s story. Right? Well, I think so! The last two… maybe not so much. “Walking Away” is referring Prof. X being able to walk, if even a short time (Don’t worry Charles, this will be happening so often it’s like you’re barely even in a wheelchair.) And “No Moaning at the Bar” was inspired by Beast and Angel fixing up Harry’s Hideaway at the end of the story line. Got it? Ok! Now listen and read comics!
“Luck is for Losers” is a phrase my wife has been saying a lot lately. It’s totally true. We make our own luck. If you don’t put yourself in the right place at the right time you’ll never even have that chance to “be lucky!” Luck had nothing to do with it, you made the choices in life that lead to such good fortune. About half the bands in this episode took it upon themselves to send me a message about their band and maybe a few songs, the other half I was lucky enough to stumble upon. The former made their own luck, the latter I consider myself lucky to have found. It’s a big, crazy world out there, don’t waste your time, get out in front of it and make your “luck” happen.
