23min of Ska : God Loves, Man Kills

23skaGODLOVESWell… I tried my damnedest to stick to the topic at hand, but it got a little too depressing. Also, this one got pretty reggae-y, which is usually not my style, but everything fit so well! I guess a few more songs about unity could’ve been in order, but I’ve played so many of them before. I feel bad that I’d also already used the Smoke Like a Fish song “God Loves, Man Kills” on an episode last Summer! Also of note, the final song on here is by the Uninvited, they’re not a ska band at all, but have played a few ska tracks here and there, this track is obviously one of them.

23min of Ska : Two Down…

23skaTWOCITIESDo you think I would even think of ending this podcast with out giving you all one last huge ska/punk episode? If ska/punk isn’t yr thing, I understand, I get it, but I love it just as much as I dig the more traditional sound. Ok, yeah, I’m still trying to figure out what the countdown means, I decided not to kill 23min of Ska a few weeks ago, but this has still got to lead someplace, and I don’t know what to do after this. There’s always been some kind of method to my madness, as random as it seems, that keeps be going, past the joy that listening to ska music brings me. I just need to find that next hook, that warp zone to the next level, and I’ll be set. I’m sure I’ll get there, I’m sure we all will. Life isn’t worth living if you not striving for next.

23min of Ska : Twice as Many Colors

23skaKIRBYEvery year around this time the wife and I pack up a bunch of food and clothes and head down to San Diego for the big Comic Convention. We go down there, geek out about comics, movies, tv and hang out w/ a bunch of our friends from LA as if we didn’t all live near each other before this weekend. And every year, whether you notice it or not, the week of SDCC episode alwas has a slight comic geek nod in it. This year I may’ve went overboard, who knows. I hope you dig it, I know that I’ll be dancing to this one while I’m waiting in long ass lines!
