It’s May, that means it is time for another 90min digital mix tape, broken into 4 parts, with a decade spanning theme, this time it is the 1970s! Not gonna lie, this’ll be an odd month. Ska was really winding down in Jamaica in the early ’70s and wouldn’t pick up in a big way until the late ’70s in the UK. So it’ll be an odd mix, but an important one in representing some ska history.
Another installment of fine, fine 60’s ska goodness. These are songs that I love and don’t always get the opportunity to share in being that I’ve always tried to run a more modern ska show. Forget about listening to this stuff and getting to know the roots of ska, listen to it because these are truly great ska songs from any era!
