Stomp Records was founded in 1994 by Matt Collyer of The Planet Smashers and Jordan Swift of The Kingpins, so you know, it’s gotta pedigree of greatness. It was THEE Canadian ska label as far as I knew when I was younger. I literally thought every Canadian ska band put out a record on Stomp. Well, not quite but hell, there’s a ton of Canadian quality on for you to check out and get down with!

Neighbors are pretty great, eh? I suggest you get to know yours if you don’t already. I’ve been fortunate enough to have always lived next to some pretty kind folks. From out in the country when there’s an acre of land between you both, to apartments where you can hear each other sneeze, I’ve been lucky to have mostly lived near people I could party with, have drinks with, or at the very least, exchange pleasantries with in the elevator. It’s a small world, so it’s best if we look out for each other, start with your family, extend to your neighbors, it’s always worth it.

It is the end of another night out on the town, what kind of craziness did you get into? Me, not too much, beers drank w/ old friends from back home, catching up w/ some family and friends, so you know, the usual, it is what late nights were meant for. I know it is so cold in the rest of the country, but Los Angeles is so warm that it is already getting me in that Springtime mood. It is pretty crazy! Raise your glasses if you’ve had a great night out lately, and tip them (and a few more) back if you need one.
What’s this? A bunch of songs about the ladies? Hells yeah it is! Go crazy! But, for reals, several odes to women, how awesome they are, how much they are missed and even a few about how they’ve done ya wrong. Oh, and that little guy in the picture, that’s my lil two tone cat Mr. Pants. He’s always tryin’ to seduce the ladies. Oh, that Mr. Pants!

Dustin Lionhart III (vocals) from Rude City Riot takes a moment to talk to Rad Jose about his band, their upcoming tour and their brand new album “Nothin’ But Time” They also discus what makes a ska show fun to be at as well as why ska bands just have to be big. Dustin also tells us all about the song “25 Years” which is played at the end of this episode.
