Woah! I did manage to get an episode out this week! Hurrah! Seriously, I had a couple of the best new songs to work with this week, plus some slightly older favorites that should’ve been played years ago! Enjoy!

There is so much going on day to day to be conscious of everything that is going on. There is so much more awareness that each of us need just to get by, or at least get by being fully informed that is. This is something we can all strive for, and achieve, but we always must be aware of the pitfalls of thinking we’ve got how the world works all figured out. We don’t, we never will, we need to find our place in it and remember why we are where we are at, and if that needs to change, we change it. We can do this, make the planet better, but we always need to be meta-conscious of ourselves.
Oh, and hey, this first track is by the very excellent the Duppies and they’re trying to raise some cash for their new album. This is the title track, if you dig it, there’s more of it to come! Toss down for some great music: http://kck.st/1NfUHaM
If you think you should be going somewhere, go. Don’t put it off. Don’t make up a ton of excuses not to go do that thing. It is imperative. Go. We are here to go! We’re not on the Earth to rest on our laurels and watch the world keep passing us by. Don’t stay stationary, go! For the love of all things, go! And don’t stop until you get there. Keep at it. Never settle. Rule your life. There is no reasons not to do these things.
In the last several weeks I’ve gotten a flood of messages from listeners expressing how much they’re enjoying the show and the bands that are being played! Firstly, thank you so much for all that! Secondly, if you dig the show, please check out the bands that are being played, buy their music, see them play in your town, and let them know you heard them on “23min of Ska”. Seriously, there’s so many ways to support this show, but the one that means the most to me is letting the bands know that found them and now you’re a fan of them. Keep on listening, keep on diggin’ it, I’ll keep on making them!
The night is getting longer, as well as getting colder out. This is the turning point, there’s just a few more weeks of outdoor time before you only leave you living space for transport to work, food or music. No more frolicking in nature for most of you, and if there is, not for very long. This is the time to grab a warm cider, step outside and enjoy it while you can, much like everything else, it is fleeting, so grab it now!
Look at that lovely logo! That Ska-O-Lantern carved by Geoff Henkle! It was part of the annual Ska-O-Lantern contest put on by my buddy Miles! Geoff wins this Honorable Mention for now, good luck in the finals Geoff!
