Woohoo, here we go with part two! So many of these bands are ones that I miss all the time. It’s a bit more punky than the last one was, but that’s what we all love about ska, right? It’s multifaceted! I know for a fact that a number of the bands on this episode are not officially broken up but on hiatus, and hey, the Bosstones were on hiatus for 8 years and that wasn’t code for “broken up” so I shan’t push that narrative here! All I know is that I want more from every single one of them! And if there is… tell me, because I want to hear it and it’s obvious that I have managed to miss it!

We all like ska, right?
I thought as much.
Here’s a bunch of ska mixed with other genres.
Sometimes the ska beat and trappings get a little lost in the mix.
This is fine, it was there for a bit.
We all get lost sometimes, and whether we find our way back or not doesn’t matter, we just need to keep on going.

Are you feeling somewhat under-appreciated recently? That’s perfectly understandable — you’ve been dancing yourself to death and not giving people the chance to jump around with you. Have a little more confidence in your friends and they should come through — and remember that you’re worthy of these good times! When you learn to give them the chance to check new things, like this swanky brand new Monkey track leading off this episode, you may find yourself getting more attention than you could hope for.
Boom! Looky here! It’s a brand new episode of the 23min of Ska podcast! Chalk full of great ska music! It lasts approximately 23 minutes. Bam, nailed it again! But for real, I really dig doing this podcast. I dig ska music and putting these together each week makes me a pretty happy guy. I’ve made my main hobby in life listening to and seeking out ska music (as well as putting out ska records, go check out Grandpa’s Casino right now!) It seriously saddens me when I can’t get a new episode out, it really does. So thanks for bearing with me last week and I hope you enjoy this episode doubly to make up for the rerun last time.
It is the end of another night out on the town, what kind of craziness did you get into? Me, not too much, beers drank w/ old friends from back home, catching up w/ some family and friends, so you know, the usual, it is what late nights were meant for. I know it is so cold in the rest of the country, but Los Angeles is so warm that it is already getting me in that Springtime mood. It is pretty crazy! Raise your glasses if you’ve had a great night out lately, and tip them (and a few more) back if you need one.
