Music Episodes

This is the home of my podcast 23min of Ska. It was a simple idea that I wanted to run with, 2 times a month (the 11th and the 23rd) I would upload a 23 minute podcast consisting of ska music. No talking, no criticizing, just music. Also, when I was looking for a ska podcast most of them seemed either regional (in which they’d spend time talking about local ska shows and such) or specifically featured only early ’60 ska. I’ve always been a fan of modern ska, the pure as well and the hybrids, and felt that if no one else was focusing it, then I should. Basically this is the kind of ska podcast I’d like to hear if I wasn’t making it.

Session One
All 23 episodes of the first session of 23min of Ska. Running from Jan 23rd, 2010 through Dec 23rd, 2010.

Session Two
The second session of 23min of Ska, which started on Jan 23rd, 2011 and ran until Dec 23rd, 2011.

Session Three
The third set of 23 episodes making up the 2012 session of 23min of Ska, running from Jan 26th, 2012 until Dec 28th, 2012.

Session Four
The fourth session of 23min of Ska episodes. The show goes weekly there by creating a lot more episodes per year for the podcast. Runs from January 10th, 2013 until August 8th, 2013.

Session Five
The fifth set of 23 episodes of the podcast. Running from August 15th, 2013 to January 23rd, 2014.

Session Six
The sixth session of 23min of Ska started on January 30th, 2014 and ended on August 21st, 2014.

Session Seven
The seventh set of 23 ska filled episodes. The episode titles started to theme together and a more compact logo is created. Ran from August 28th, 2014 through January 29th, 2015.

Session Eight
The eighth session of 23min of Ska. Ran from February 4th, 2015 until August 20th, 2015.

Session Nine
The ninth set of 23 episodes of the 23min of Ska podcast. Originally intended to be the final session, hence the countdown in episode titles. Ran from September 10th, 2015 through February 25th, 2016.

Session X
The tenth session of 23min of Ska. The show continues on with roman numerals for session names. Fittingly, episode titles are X-Men related. New logos began for each session here on out to fit the over arcing theme. Ran from March 10th, 2016 until August 11th 2016.

Session XI
The eleventh set of 23 episodes. Featured a Raymond Chandler theme. Ran from August 18th, 2016 until January 19th, 2017.

Session XII
The twelfth session of 23min of Ska AKA the donut session. Ran from January 26th, 2017 through June 29th, 2017.

Session XIII
The thirteenth set of 23 ska filled episodes of 23min of Ska. Episode titles were themed around ice cream flavors. Ran from July 6th, 2017 to Decmber 7th, 2017

Session XIV
The fourteenth session of 23min of Ska, each episode themed after fictional secret agents. Started on January 11th, 2018 and ended on June 21st, 2018.

Session XV
The fifteenth set of 23min of Ska episodes. The session theme was roller coasters. Started on June 28th, 2018 and ended on November 29th, 2018.

Session XVI
The sweet sixteen twenty-three episode set of the podcast. This session started on January 10th, 2019.
