Last year I kept encountering more and more ska music that was rather, for lack of a better term, lounge-y. I’ve always been a fan of Martin Denny and exotica lounge stuff, as well as the more popular stuff by Nelson Riddle, and even more modern throwbacks like Tipsy and the Pizzicato Five. So I kept updating a playlist labeled “Lounge Type Ska” as 2020 rolled on, and when I had more than enough songs I tried my hand at getting them assembled into this episode. It’s not a dancing episode, it’s a relaxing episode, so sit down and raise a glass, you’ve earned it.
